I am a neurologist, working as Professor at the Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles (H.U.B., Hôpital Erasme), the academic hospital of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Brussels, Belgium). There, I am the Director of the Service of translational Neuroimaging. I am is also Professor of Neuroanatomy at the ULB and Principal Investigator at the LN2T. Finally, I am Clinical Researcher at the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique (FRS-FNRS). Together with our multidisciplinary team, I have built, starting from the translational research done at the LN2T, a comprehensive clinical program of functional neuroimaging dedicated to the presurgical functional brain mapping and the presurgical evaluation of refractory focal epilepsy. My main research interests focus (i) on how the human brain cortical activity is entrained by sensory and motor processes as well as by cortico-cortical interactions using MEG and hdEEG, (ii) on the mechanisms involved in neurovascular uncoupling using MEG, hdEEG and PET-MR, (iii) on developing novel methods for investigating human brain functions (language, sensorimotor function, resting state activity) and disorders (epilepsy, brain tumors, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, learning disorders).
